WHS Advisor - 12 mth FTC

Location Melbourne
Job reference 107335
Salary Flexible work environment

The Opportunity

This role will be an excellent step into a Not For Profit organisation, supporting a diverse range of "clients" across a small range of sites. It will continue to develop your skillset in advising your client base on day to day WHS matters, and educating/mentoring frontline staff and leadership of their ability to influence change across teams and companies.

Your contribution and impact will genuinely make a difference - and will be rewarded in a number of different ways:

  • Competitive base salary and above minimum superannuation
  • Flexible work arrangements
  • Extra allocated leave (both regular and across the year calendar)
  • Support or professional development (including financial)

The Environment:

You will have the opportunity to work among a number of client organisations, utulising your excellent WHS technical skillset and ability to build relationships with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders.

Not only do you get to impact the day to day of the client base by getting close to the teams, but also more broadly by:

  • Educating - either more structured training programs (a TAE/Cert IV is highly advantageous, but not essential)
  • Strategically taking those stakeholders on a safety journey. This will be both direct (working with key managers), and indirect (across a number of sites and teams).

The Person

The best suited WHS professional to transition into this role, will be the person who can best utilise their technical skillset into Real Life Situations. Therefore your ability to tailor your communication to each different audience group will be really key.

It will be really helpful if you enjoy and have a talent for educating and training your stakeholders, and sharing the WHS knowledge that you have gleaned in your career to date.

This role works semi-independently but contributes to a broader WHS team - and so therefore the ability to work in both these settings is important.

This role will allow for a fair amount of flexible working, and the ability to self-manage your time - which will include both proactive and reactive work. There will also be regular "extra days" that have flexibility in your schedule - which will allow for excellent balance in your time.

A couple of Important Things

  • 12-month Fixed Term Contract
  • WFH initially, and then from the Melbourne Office
  • Will consider either: immediate start OR 4 week notice period

PLEASE NOTE (CHRISTMAS BREAK):

The Safesearch Office is closed between Christmas and New Year and will return back on January 4th 2021. Your application will be reviewed at that point, and any communication following from that.
