// The Company

Our client, a sizeable Melbourne Healthcare provider - well known to many - are a large and multi-site operation. In a sector that has been very stable and solid during the Covid-19 pandemic, this organisation has managed the responses with the required flex and stretch. And due to some team changes, there is a newly vacated Safety Systems Manager role, leading a small team to provide the platforms, tools and system for the organisation to deliver their safety performance.

This organisation has a very broad risk profile, and the Safety function team partner with each unit to continue the safety journey.

// The Role & Requirements

This lynchpin role of Safety Systems Manager has a wonderful opportunity to reinvigorate the current Safety Systems, continuing to support the Safety journey of the broader employee and contractor base. Some of the interesting projects upcoming delivered by this role are very exciting will provide a step change (and continuous improvement) upon which the Safety and leadership team can lead the safety journey.

Part of the continuous improvement for this role is guiding the organisation to a consistent framework and way of working, regardless of the risk profile and location. And continuing to build an accessible platform and range of tools that all others work from.

Also important are the broader Safety Communications to leaders and throughout the business. This includes written work for Boards and Senior Leaders (etc), and Safety analysis and reporting.

Reporting to the Director of Safety, this role will build a significant network of relationships, allowing for influence of key stakeholders. This will also give access to the broad range of professional development opportunities that are usually only accessible in such a large organisation.

// The Person

Broad background: It would be difficult to be the successful applicant in this role without having seen a number of different operating environments, and how their WHS Systems operate. Of importance is the attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information to multiple audiences.

Project Delivery: Being able to demonstrate WHS Systems change through projects of scale will be important in showing your skills: consulting, planning, technical ability and delivery.

Technical bent: others who know your work understand that you thrive in situations where your technical skills (both technology, but also a leaning toward system and process) are upheld by solid communications (written and verbal). You are able to understand, interpret and analyse data and reporting, making recommendations and decisions.

Passion to make a Difference: you will likely be someone who thrives when there is a difference to be made, where things aren't yet humming, and where your good work will make a genuine impact to those across the workforce and contractors.

Qualified: You will need a relevant qualification (Diploma minimum).

Also advantageous: Experience leading a small team, experience in Document Management System Control and experience in the Healthcare sector.
