HSE Officer

Northern Suburbs, Melbourne

  • Part-time opportunity 3-4 days per week

Their commitment to excellence and security has made them a trusted partner for central banks and government agencies worldwide. As they continue to prioritise safety in their operations, they are seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to join the team.

In this part-time role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation's safety and compliance practices. Working closely with the HSE team, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures to minimise workplace hazards
  • Investigating incidents and hazards, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions
  • Coordinating the servicing of emergency response equipment and ensuring its readiness
  • Procuring safety equipment and ensuring its proper distribution and maintenance
  • Providing functional support for HSE systems and processes to continually improve our ISO 45001 compliant HSE Management System

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the HSE field
  • Tertiary qualifications in Work, Health & Safety
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • A sound, practical working knowledge of legislation, codes of practice, and HSE expectations of organisations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
