The Opportunity
The position of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager has become available to ensure the implementation of an EHS Management system, which aligns with our internal ZERO Harm philosophy whilst also meets industry best practice. You will be partnering with the EHS function and management team, to execute initiatives that promote a positive health, wellbeing, and safety culture in R&D
Key Responsibilities
Strengthening, and supporting the implementation of Global R&D HSE plan whilst helping to improve the HSE performance of the organisation through technical leadership and influence
Coaching to enable the growth and development of BU Director, Site Leaders and team
members in utilising best practice and leveraging capability and communities of practice to improve HSE Performance.
Coach stakeholders on the effective implementation of the EHS Management System
Ensure the R&D operates within the EHS Management System and adheres to APAC
policies and standards and relevant Health and Safety legislation and compliance
requirements.
Manage data and reporting against safety indicators to drive improvement activities.
Conduct and analyse initial serious incident investigation and guide immediate incident response protocols, ensuring proactive corrective actions
About you
Demonstrated ability to effectively drive change in the workplace.
Stakeholder management ability, strong influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to take initiative in providing new ideas to improve process efficiencies.
Ability to maintain contemporary knowledge of industry changes and best practice.
Proven ability to work and reach desired outcomes at a high-performance level.
Sound knowledge of local EHS legislation, strong understanding of EHS Management Systems and tools
Lead Auditor Qualifications
Degree qualified with a major in Workplace Health & Safety, or Environmental Engineering preferred
