Position: EHS Officer
Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Independent EHS role, project based
World class Development and Manufacturing company
Initial 6 months fixed Term
The organisation:
Our client is a medical and technology company that develops and manufactures important medical machines and devices. They have incredible technical and solutions that are having a large impact on identifying and treatment of various diseases.
Based in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs.
They now require a professional with experience in Environment, Health and Safety to work on various projects and BAU to add value to their integrated site. The initial engagement is for 6 months, with focus on the below areas:
Development and promotion of HSE Management system
Develop Site Business Continuity Plan
Develop Site Disaster Recovery Plan
Plan and implement site Environmental Sustainability Plan
Support other EHS projects and activities as required including Site Risk Reduction, safety analysis and improvements, promotional activities, and corporate reporting.
Implementing and maintaining 3rd party certifications such as OHSAS 18001, ISO45001
Desired attributes:
Practical experience in formal EHS management systems, risk management processes, and root cause incident investigation techniques
Experience in formal continuous improvement processes such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
Demonstrated computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Windows and MS-Office products
Strong communication and presentation skills
A relevant qualification in Environment, Health and Safety highly regarded
