Safesearch are working exclusively with leaders in Darwin's essential community services for an experienced WHS Advisor.

Working from the head office in Darwin city this position will see you collaborating with the HSE team to work with site leaders, providing WHS guidance and support at multiple & varied industry sites.

Reporting directly to the WHS Manager, this is a great opportunity for a collaborative and hands on safety focused professional to expand their WHS experience, with support from the wider HSE team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively promoting safe systems of work and safety initiatives
  • Supporting WHS education, training and mentoring
  • Overseeing health & safety compliance and reviewing documentation
  • Reviewing and developing WHS management systems, processes and procedures
  • Incident investigation and hazard reporting
  • Coordinate and facilitate health monitoring initiatives
  • Site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments
  • Reporting and stakeholder engagement


This would suit a safety professional looking to support locally and influence the wider team in a stimulating and satisfying working environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Diploma in WHS - minimum requirement Cert IV in WHS
  • NT issued General Construction Induction (White Card)
  • ICAM investigation highly desirable
  • 3 + years minimum of operational WHS experience
  • Working knowledge of WHS legislation & Codes of Practice
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills
  • A current full drivers' licence
