As a company that prides itself on shaping world class solutions for their end client, your role is to support employees and contractors ensuring health and safety, and complying with relevant legislation and regulations, including for Environmental. The role will work in a continuous improvement mode when it comes to supporting their internal client base.

This role is responsible for maintaining a number of licences and certifications, including Major Hazard Facility, and will be responsible for the managing the safety case process. In a highly technical field, maintaining and adhering to the HSE Management Systems will be important.

There will be a close liaison between other HSE professionals across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

The Person

To be successful you must demonstrated ability/experience with:

  • Have some solid HSE experience that has allowed you to develop skills in change management
  • Experience in an MHF is highly regarded, and working with the Safety Case Process (this role will is responsible for managing this process, with internal support)
  • Developing strong relationships with internal (including Senior Leaders) and external clients to be able to affect positive change
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders, locally and beyond
  • A strong understanding of the regulatory environment relevant to Health & Safety and Environment (and relevant regulatory bodies)
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Safety, Risk or similar
  • Certification in incident investigation (such as Taproot, ICAM etc)
