A leading national business with strong footprint in the waste management sector is seeking additional resources within their Health & Safety team to support the liquid waste division. The Role:

Working amongst an experienced HSE team, this Advisory role will give you the chance to bring your HSE experience to the liquid waste division. The roles requires an understanding of appropriate storage, disposal and exposures and the health and safety that surrounds liquid waste; Chemicals/Dangerous Goods. Having knowledge into this high-risk environment will set you up to be successful in this role. You will have an ability to consistently deliver superior value to stakeholders. This organisation is an industrial services market leader, and in a consistent season of noted growth and innovation. This role requires strong skill set in building strong relationships with the operational front lines and having the ability to be pragmatic and flexible in delivery of solutions. The business has long hours of operation, which on occasion will mean an early start or a late finish - for pre-starts, toolbox or similar. You will have good amount of autonomy and (much) variety in working with your (multi) sites, spread across Melbourne and contribute to a national team of Health & Safety professionals.

To be successful you must bring:

  • Experience in a relevant HSE Advisor/Officer role (min 3 to 5 years)
  • Experience working with blue collar, high risk environments will be highly regarded
  • Exposure to working in an environment where management of chemicals/Dangerous Goods was part of the role
  • Experience working in a multi-site role and juggling competing priorities
  • Effective communicator, able to communicate at all levels of the organisation
  • Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety - Diploma and above highly regarded
