About the role:
A Health & Wellbeing is required by a well known company within the warehousing and logistics sector on an initial 6-month contract. They will be responsible for providing specialist case management to drive return to work outcomes for Injured Team Members.
This role will work directly on long term/long tail worker's compensation claims, and then would have greater scope/potential for other workplace engagements within Health & Wellbeing once site based performance and the worker's compensation portfolio improves.
Key accountabilities:
- Ability to formulate and oversee ongoing complex RTW plans for injured employees.
- Provide strategic case management of Workers Compensation Claims.
- Maintain workers compensation claim forms as per legislative requirements
- Work with line management to ensure appropriate suitable duties are provided to injured team members.
- Participate in claims review meetings
- Participate and undertake in regulator & internal based audits.
- Facilitate Case Conferences with CTC and Treating Medical Practitioners to contribute and determine strategic direction of claims.
- Work with P&C Manager to facilitate redeployment options for Team Members whose workers compensation claims are closed.
- Coach and mentor management on their responsibilities in managing Team Members on Return to Work Programs.
Selection criteria:
- Relevant qualifications
- Proven experience in a return-to-work role
- Working knowledge of legislation, regulatory requirements and policies pertaining to WHS, Workers Compensation and Injury Management
- Ability to maintain the quality and accuracy of sensitive information within departmental systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Available Immediately (1 weeks minimum)
